She is a radio and TV personality on the rise.
Keamohetsoe Mothibeli (29) better known as Kamo Moth is the co-host of Massiv Mornings on Massiv Metro alongside Penny Lebyane.
It might seem like a small gig on an online radio station, but it’s a big deal for her.
“I love radio. When you’re on the radio every day must feel like a roller coaster ride. I must take the listener through a ride of various emotions. I want to always leave them saying ‘sjoe that was bat sh$t crazy. But it’s also super important for them to take something from those 3 hours, whether its learning, courage, healing or love,” Kamo tell Buzz Life.

Her first radio gig was in her hometown of Bloemfontein on CUT FM hosting a hip hop show called The Rap-Up.
When she moved to Johannesburg, she landed two jobs and became an assistant producer on the DJ Sbu Breakfast show on Massiv Metro while presenting on the Voov channel with Lasizwe Dambuza.
“Around that time I got an opportunity to guest present a few times on MTV Base show NewsIsh and that’s how the TV bug bit me and boom Soweto TV happened and I became a presenter on The Take Off with Tbo Touch and Carpo,” she says.
Those who know her well know she adores TV presenter Bonang Matheba.
“She is definitely someone whose work ethic speaks volumes. Another person who does it for me is Rihanna. Both these women are forces to be reckoned with,” she says.

Growing up Kamo wanted to be an actress, but she knew her mom wouldn’t allow her to be a performer for a living, so she ended up enrolling to study Law at the University of the Free State.
“First I studied BCom Law and dropped out in my final year to study LLB and then dropped out again in my final year all to chase the entertainment dream,” she says.
With so many career changes, her parents are learning to understand and be supportive.
“My dad is super supportive of anything and everything I want to do. My mom has come around, but she still worries about my livelihood and lack of job security in the industry. Which is normal I guess,” she adds. But with hard work and dedication, Kamo believes she’ll be a household name.
I used to play netball for the University of the Free State and represented my province from when I was 13 until 21 and retired from the game to start coaching. There isn’t much to tell except that I dropped out of LLB to chase my dream and now I’m living my dream.
