The investigating officer told the court that Longwe fell ill and was unable to complete the tasks. According to the terms of the community service, If he is not to complete the task and prove his remorse, a warrant of arrest will be issued. This was not the first time Twala had handed his son to the authorities. In 2020, Longwe was handed over to the Diepkloof police station for allegedly stealing a cell phone. “The helper actually witnessed Longwe taking out some boxes and running away. It is his life. He has been doing this for a long time,” Twala said. “It is not something new because of his drug lifestyle. As you might know, he has been on drugs. Unfortunately, I had to act and get him arrested,” he said.
