Limpopo singer Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, best known as Makhadzi, has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home after a tragic accident that happened on 31 December while traveling to Johannesburg. She is currently still recovering and receiving medical attention.
On 31 December, she was meant to perform at Mucana Foundation New Year’s Eve party in Mphuphuledza Village; however, due to the accident, all her bookings from were postponed while she received medical attention.
In several images shared on social media by unverified accounts showing the alleged accident scene of two cars crashing resurfaced. After some social media investigations, the images were from an accident that happened in May 2025 in Middleburg.
The spokesperson of Makhadzi entertainment Lucky Tshilimandila has the Number 1 singer was discharged from the hospital.
“She has been discharged from the hospital. She still needs to recover at home and has been advised to get bed rest.”
Tshilimandila detailed how the incident happened.
“She performs in various provinces and travels on the road. She was travelling from Venda. The driver heard a noise in the car and stopped on the side of the road to check. The team members then got out of the car to check what the sound maybe be, and this is when she was hit by a car passing by,” he said.
“They immediately put her in the car and drove her to the nearest hospital.”
Tshilimandila informed Buzz Life News that the BET Award winner had to undergo an operation on her shoulder.
“Makhadzi underwent an operation on her shoulder and lower abdomen on 31 December,” he said.
“The accident was bad, but thankfully, she didn’t have any terrible head injuries or back and leg injuries. With the necessary care, she will recover,” he said.
“Although the accident has affected her work, she is grateful to have survived it and thankful for all the prayers and kind words.”
Tshilimandila estimated that she should be back on stage around Easter.
