Businessman Tebogo Nokwane has threatened legal action after he was allegedly dragged into a public social media dispute involving Thandi “Blue” Mbombo and Thani Ndlala.

Nokwane’s attorneys, Kaka & Kaka Attorneys, issued a media statement on his behalf, saying their client was concerned by a series of social media posts in which his name had allegedly been mentioned in a defamatory manner.

The statement makes it clear that Nokwane maintains he has no involvement in the dispute between Mbombo and Ndlala.

Nokwane says he has no involvement in dispute

According to the statement, Nokwane was surprised by the posts and initially chose not to respond publicly.

“My client has noted with a degree of surprise and consternation, the various social media posts published recently, revealing what can best be described as a personal dispute between Ms. Thandi Mbombo and Mr. Thani Ndlala,” the attorneys said.

The statement alleges that despite the dispute being between Mbombo and Ndlala, Nokwane’s name has been repeatedly brought into the matter.

“Despite this fact, he has been mentioned several times in a clearly defamatory manner in various posts and statements,” the attorneys said.

Nokwane’s legal representatives said he had initially decided against responding because he did not want to give attention to what they described as “baseless, unseemly, blatantly provocative and defamatory statements and assertions”.

However, the attorneys said the situation had escalated to a point where their client could no longer remain silent.

‘A concerted attempt to defame him’

The attorneys allege that there is now an effort to involve Nokwane and his family in a dispute in which they say he has no role.

“What has become clear is that there is a concerted attempt to defame him and drag him and his family through a social media fiasco in order to litigate personal disputes which do not involve him or his family,” the statement reads.

“This is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.”

The statement further seeks to draw a clear line between Nokwane and the dispute, stating: “To be clear, there is no relationship between our client and Ms. Mbombo nor does he have any involvement in the ongoing dispute between Ms. Mbombo and Mr. Ndlala.”

Protecting his family and privacy

According to his lawyers, Nokwane has historically kept his personal life away from the public spotlight.

“Our client has always been a private person. This is a position he has maintained until now with the interests of his children and wife in mind,” the statement said.

His legal team indicated that his decision to speak out was therefore not about entering the wider dispute, but about protecting himself and his family from allegations they say are unrelated to him.

The statement also serves as a warning that Nokwane is prepared to escalate the matter legally if the alleged defamatory posts continue.

“Our client would like to make it clear that he will take whatever legal steps available to him to protect…” the statement reads, with the supplied statement ending at that point.

The public dispute between model and media personality Blue Mbombo and businessman Thami Ndlala has escalated from social media allegations into legal proceedings. Mbombo has alleged that Ndlala subjected her to months of death threats, verbal abuse and emotional torment, and claimed that he hired people to intimidate her and threatened the life of her child. She says she opened a criminal case and obtained an interim protection order.

Ndlala has categorically denied the allegations and maintains that they should be dealt with through the proper legal process. The Gauteng High Court has since issued an interim order restricting Mbombo from publishing certain allegations against Ndlala as established facts and directing the removal of specified social media posts, with the matter set to return to court on 9 November 2026. Mbombo and Ndlala will also be in court on the protection order matter by Mbombo on 9 October 2026.
