Tribby Wadi Bhozza escapes death after an accident on his way to a booking in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga.
The number of recent car accidents involving Limpopo artists has been a great concern for fans who have sent messages of condolensces and speedy recoveries.
Lekompo rapper Lehlohonolo “Shebeshxt” Chauke, who is currently in custody for assaulting a fan, was involved in two car accidents in 2025.
Melita “Kharishma” Mogale is also still recovering from an accident that happened in October and claimed the life of his driver, Vincent Maphopha. After undergoing two operations, she is still recovering and cancelled all December holiday season bookings.
Morwakhalo Kwinana, also known as Kaycherlow’s, recent car accident also shocked fans.
In November Molimisi “Dr Nel” Baatsi, with an eyewitness alleging that the 31-year-old was repeatedly run over by a taxi in a suspected hit-and-run incident.
On 31 December, singer Makhadzi was hit by a passing car while parked on the side of the road to attend to an issue with their vehicle. She underwent a shoulder and abdomen operation and has since been discharged from the hospital.
The most recent accident report involves Tribby WaDi BhoZza real name Tshepang Mphahlele was involved in a car crash on Saturday, 3 January 2026 around 10 pm, while on his way from Polokwane to Acornhoek.
The artist was booked at a venue that is a three-hour drive from Polokwane to perform at The Village pub and Grill in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga. On his way, the vehicle was involved in an accident on the pothole-ridden R40 road.
According to Tribby Wadi Bhozza’s team, no one was hurt or received serious injuries.
“Thank goodness, nothing happened; however, the car needed to be towed.”
Management at The Village pub and Grill assisted with fetching the artist from the accident scene and made it to the event on time.
“We managed to collect everyone who was travelling with him, and they felt comfortable enough to continue with the performance, despite the tragedy,” the venue added.
“We offered him accommodation at our lodge for the night, and he will be travelling back to Polokwane after the issue with the vehicle has been resolved.”
