Celebrity Drive South Africa transformed the iconic Sun City Resort into a showcase of luxury, culture and purpose, bringing together celebrities, creatives, business leaders and tourism stakeholders for an immersive weekend experience designed to position South Africa as a world-class luxury destination.
The experience began at BMW Menlyn, where guests set off in a curated convoy of BMW vehicles to Sun City, turning the journey itself into part of the luxury narrative. On arrival, they were hosted at the Palace of the Lost City, where Sun City General Manager Brett Hoppe welcomed guests and highlighted the resort’s role in driving tourism, economic impact and cultural storytelling.

A highlight of the weekend was a fashion showcase by internationally acclaimed designer David Tlale, presented in collaboration with SYNC Models. The show delivered a striking display of African luxury, craftsmanship and modern elegance, reinforcing Tlale’s status as one of the country’s leading creative exports.

The guest list included notable personalities such as Mbali Mavimbela, Bonko Khoza, Jo-Anne Reyneke, Liyema Pantsi and Mrs South Africa finalist Talitha Oosthuizen, with Sam Lehoko serving as master of ceremonies. Throughout the weekend, guests also experienced curated luxury touchpoints including Royal Spa, UNIQ Brows and Sheikh Fragrances, while Jadore served as the official beverage partner.

Beyond luxury, the event carried a strong philanthropic focus, with an initiative led by Versus Paints to support the painting of orphanages in Rustenburg, underscoring the event’s message that true luxury extends beyond exclusivity to community impact and social upliftment.

In partnership with South African Tourism, Celebrity Drive South Africa positioned the country as more than a travel destination, but a hub of fashion, creativity, entertainment and cultural excellence. The platform continues to blend luxury hospitality, automotive experiences, fashion and philanthropy to promote South African tourism and economic opportunity.
Through its “Luxury Meets Legacy” philosophy, Celebrity Drive South Africa concluded the weekend with a clear message: South Africa is not only a destination, but a global expression of luxury, creativity and culture.
