Artist, actor, creator, performer and DJ Kamo_ww is back with his latest single, ‘NGO’ 7 (Ufun’ Ukwenzani)’, released today through gamma.
The vibrant dance record offers listeners a first taste of what to expect from his forthcoming sophomore EP, ‘DOLLS EAT.’ – a project that explores performance, survival, softness, power and joy through the world of Kamo_ww’s Haus and the community he calls The Dolls.
‘NGO’ 7’ sees Kamo_ww leaning into his relationship with movement, combining the distinctive sound of StockieNChillie with playful melodies from Springle to create a record designed for the dance floor.
The song almost didn’t happen
The track came together unexpectedly at the end of a studio session, when Kamo_ww and his collaborators were already tired and preparing to leave.
“We were about to pack up, then this beat came on and we just had to go one more time,” says Kamo_ww. “That’s the energy the song lives in.”
That spontaneous moment ultimately shaped the character of the single – loose, playful and uncomplicated.
Rather than attempting to make a grand statement, Kamo_ww says the song is deliberately about having a good time and allowing people to simply move.
“It doesn’t have the strongest or deepest message, and that’s intentional. Not everything needs to be deep, sometimes you just need to dance,” he says. “Sometimes you just need to ask, ‘Ufun’ ukwenzani?’ and do it.”

A lighter introduction to ‘DOLLS EAT.’
While ‘NGO’ 7’ is firmly rooted in fun, the single also provides an introduction to the broader world Kamo_ww is building with ‘DOLLS EAT.’.
The forthcoming EP brings together different sides of his artistry, exploring themes of performance, survival, softness, power and joy. Central to the project is his Haus and the community surrounding it – The Dolls.
For Kamo_ww, the idea behind the title reflects the freedom to exist in different emotional spaces without having to choose just one.
“Dolls Eat when they’re crying, Dolls Eat when they’re slaying, and Dolls Eat when they’re just having fun on a Friday NGO’ 7,” he says.
That philosophy allows ‘DOLLS EAT.’ to move between vulnerability, celebration, performance and power, while maintaining the sense of community that sits at the centre of Kamo_ww’s creative world.
From the living room to the stage
Born and raised in Johannesburg, Kamohelo Pule, professionally known as Kamo_ww, has built his creative identity across music, acting, performance, DJing and content creation.
His connection to dance started during childhood in the East Rand, where he would dance in his living room long before he knew movement would become part of his professional life.
He officially stepped into music in 2023 with his debut single ‘abafana’ and has continued developing a sound influenced by his surroundings, his love for dance, amapiano, pop performance and township expression.
That history of movement is particularly evident in ‘NGO’ 7’, with the song allowing Kamo_ww to bring together his musical and performance identities without overcomplicating the experience.
Welcome to the fun side of the Haus
With ‘NGO’ 7 (Ufun’ Ukwenzani)’, Kamo_ww is opening the door to the more carefree side of his forthcoming EP.
The single is less about explaining the world of The Dolls and more about inviting listeners into it – through movement, music and a Friday-night energy.
As ‘DOLLS EAT.’ approaches, ‘NGO’ 7’ sets the tone for a project where Kamo_ww intends to make room for all the different sides of his artistry.
