Old-Fashioned Advice Can Save Modern Romance: Nokulinda Mkhize’s new book Kitchen Wisdom offers timeless guidance for love and relationships. The book is out now and the public are invited to the launch on Saturday 15th February at 2pm at Book Circle Capital at 27 Boxes in Melville, Johannesburg.
In a world where modern romance often feels like a game of mixed signals, unrealistic expectations, and shallow connections, sangoma and author Nokulinda Mkhize brings old-school wisdom to the table with her new book, Kitchen Wisdom: What We Hate to Hear But Need to Know About Men and Romance.
Drawing on the timeless advice of mothers, aunties, and grandmothers, Kitchen Wisdom is a heartfelt and practical guide for women who are done with fairy tales and false promises.
Kitchen Wisdom shares principles that women need to be familiar with in order to make better decisions in romance. These are principles such as “Never Chase A Man”, and “Do Not Do Wife Things Before You Are The Wife”. It also warns about “Fake Friends and Frenemies” who destroy women’s communities of support which are very important for women to have lives beyond male interest and attention.
Kitchen Wisdom is the Valentine’s book you need to get for yourself to affirm your own direction, or the niece, sister, or friend who has been trying to make sense of the rollercoaster of romance in her life.
