Multi award-winning producer and DJ single Kabelo Motsamai also known as Prince Kaybee has released his long awaited single Ayabulela featuring Sykes and Caiiro, just before his 31st birthday on the 15ththrough his recording company Lowkey Records.

When asked about his music making process and if he has a formula seeing that every song he makes is a hit, he had this to say “I don’t have a formula; I go into studio religiously and put in the work. I am on my piano every day, I believe in putting more effort so I May become even better at what I do and that would be my advice for up and coming artists, put in the work. I treat my music as a full time job.”
Known not only for his impeccable music-making talents but also his love for fitness, cars and looking the part; one of the things he emphasizes for people that want to be in entertainment, is investing in their image.
“Image is important, you have to look good to make an impression. Looking good doesn’t mean wearing expensive brands, basic grooming is important” commented the celebrated producer,” he says.

Prince Kaybee started making music and enjoying commercial success five years ago and it is by no surprise that he is the best to ever do it, his music speaks for itself. The Gugulethu hit-maker was born and bred in Botshabelo on the 15th June 1989.
He left home in his teen years, shortly after dropping out of school to pursue a music career. He had already impregnated a girl, lost his father and was frustrated; he took off leaving an equally frustrated mother behind. Little did he know that leaving his mom’s couch would see him scrambling for a place to stay, for a good three years, Prince Kaybee was homeless, getting by with the help of friends he made in Bloemfontein and his club residency which paid him a mere R200 a night.

In the three years of trying to make a living in Bloemfontein, he fell deeply in love with music and that’s where he got his big break, using a club boss’ laptop at night, making beats. Prior to sleeping in the club office, he would crash at a then girlfriend’s flat and on days when she wasn’t happy to have him around, he would be out in the streets again.
“That girl saved me, she was kind to me, I am thankful to her, at times I could see she needed space and I would leave and go back to the homies in the streets,” said Prince Kaybee.

In 2004, Prince Kaybee got what one would call his big break with Wajelwa – a smash hit. He then made Better Days which was also very well received, especially in the Free State, his home province.

A competitive creative to the core, he entered a number of DJing competitions and won all three. One of these was the one’s and two’s a Red Bull DJ competition that aired on SABC 1. His hunger and determination to get off the streets made drive him to working extra hard and it paid off, he took the title. To top it all off, him and his mother had already made up, she was a proud mother with a famous son.
