Ndlala Arena is preparing to host another star-studded celebration of R&B and soul as Ndlala Grandeur II returns on 21 and 22 August 2026, bringing together international superstars Ginuwine, Mýa and RL alongside South African music icon Zonke Dikana.
Following the success of its inaugural event, the two-night music experience promises a blend of timeless R&B, luxury and live entertainment as part of Women’s Month celebrations.
The festivities kick off on Friday, 21 August, with American R&B singer, songwriter and producer RL (Robert Lavelle Huggar), best known as the lead vocalist of the multi-platinum-selling group NEXT. RL rose to fame with hit songs including Too Close, Wifey, Butta Love and I Still Love You. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has collaborated with artists such as Deborah Cox, Ginuwine, Tyrese, Snoop Dogg and 2Pac, while also writing songs for Luther Vandross, Usher, Jaheim and Jamie Foxx.
Joining him on the opening night is Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Mýa, whose career has made her one of contemporary R&B’s most recognisable voices. She is known for hits including Case of the Ex, It’s All About Me, My Love Is Like… Wo and Free, while her Grammy-winning contribution to Lady Marmalade remains one of the biggest collaborations in modern R&B.
Representing South Africa on Friday is acclaimed Afro-soul singer, songwriter and producer Zonke Dikana. A multiple South African Music Award (SAMA) winner and MTV Africa Music Award recipient, Zonke has built a reputation for her powerful vocals, exceptional songwriting and memorable live performances, making her one of the country’s most respected artists.
The celebrations continue on Saturday, 22 August, with Grammy-nominated R&B star Ginuwine taking centre stage. Born Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, the singer became a global sensation through his partnership with legendary producer Timbaland and went on to release chart-topping hits including Pony, Differences, So Anxious, In Those Jeans and Same Ol’ G. With several platinum-selling albums and his role in the R&B supergroup TGT alongside Tank and Tyrese, Ginuwine remains one of the genre’s most influential performers.
Event organisers say Ndlala Grandeur II reflects Ndlala Arena’s ongoing commitment to bringing world-class entertainment to South African audiences while establishing the venue as a leading destination for premium live music experiences.
