Jacaranda FM has announced the appointment of broadcaster and sports journalist Karabo Peter as the new sports presenter on its award-winning afternoon drive show, The Drive with Rob & Roz.
Peter officially joined hosts Rob Forbes and Rozanne McKenzie on Monday, 3 August 2026, bringing her passion for sport and storytelling to the weekday show, which airs between 16:00 and 19:00.
The appointment marks another milestone in Peter’s growing broadcasting career, which spans radio, journalism and digital media. She began as a sports reporter at community radio before moving on to freelance work at YFM. She later joined VOW 88.1 FM as the sports anchor on the station’s drive show, a role she held for two years.
Beyond radio, Peter has also established herself as a respected voice in sports journalism. She has contributed to SABC’s The Journos Vodcast, where she participated in discussions on major sporting stories and the evolving media landscape. She is also a writer for Good Things Guy, where she tells uplifting stories that celebrate positive change and the people making a difference across South Africa.
Speaking about her new role, Peter said joining Jacaranda FM was an exciting opportunity that aligned with her passion for meaningful storytelling.
