Content creator and influencer Sabelo Hadede, popularly known as Sabelo the Kreator, says the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has withdrawn a sexual assault case that was opened against him following allegations that circulated on social media over the past year.
The announcement comes after months of public speculation and online accusations that the influencer has repeatedly denied. The allegations, which were widely shared on X and other social media platforms, were made by an anonymous individual using the name “Pierre O”, according to Hadede.
In a statement released on Thursday, Hadede said the allegations had severely affected his life and career but maintained that he had never known or interacted with the person behind the claims.
“Over the past year, allegations about me were circulated on X and other social media platforms by individuals using anonymous and fake accounts to ruin my reputation,” he said.
“From the beginning, I have consistently maintained that I do not know the individual who made the allegations under the name ‘PIERRE O’ who also goes by the name Obakeng. I have never met or interacted with this person in any capacity and I continue to maintain that I do not know them.”
He added that the matter had been investigated by the South African Police Service before being considered by the NPA.
“A criminal complaint was subsequently investigated by the South African Police Service. After the investigation, the matter was considered by the National Prosecuting Authority. On 7 July 2026, the Senior Public Prosecutor withdrew the case. There is no conviction against me arising from these allegations. These allegations were false and were intended to ruin my brand and reputation,” Hadede said.
He also said he had cooperated fully with investigators during the legal process.
“The legal process was followed and I cooperated fully for the past four months to ensure this matter was resolved because it had a devastating impact on my life.”
According to a South African Police Service document dated 16 July 2026, issued by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit in Johannesburg Central, the sexual assault matter was withdrawn against Hadede by the Johannesburg Regional Court Senior Public Prosecutor on 7 July 2026.
The SAPS document states: “Matter was withdrawn against Mister Sabelo Hadebe … by Johannesburg Regional Court Senior Public Prosecutor on 2026-07-07.”
While the withdrawal of a criminal case means the prosecution has decided not to proceed with the matter, it is not the same as a court finding that the accused is innocent.
Reflecting on the impact the allegations had on him, Hadede said: “This experience has had a significant impact on my personal life, my reputation, and my career. Despite these challenges, I remain committed to moving forward with my life and focusing on the future.”
He also thanked those who stood by him throughout the ordeal.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the brands, partners, colleagues, friends, and supporters who continued to stand by me and work with me throughout this difficult period. Your trust and belief in me have meant more than words can express.”
Hadede concluded by saying he is focused on rebuilding and looking ahead.
“I am looking forward to this next chapter, continuing to build meaningful partnerships, creating new opportunities.”
