Siwelele FC have confirmed the departure of 12 first-team players as the club begins a major squad rebuild ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.
The Bloemfontein-based outfit announced the exits as they prepare for their second top-flight campaign following a season in which they secured their Premiership status. The departures signal the start of what is expected to be a busy transfer window as coach Lehlohonolo Seema reshapes his squad.
The players leaving the club are Happy Mashiane, Ghampani Lungu, Bohlale Ngwato, Neo Rapoo, Thabang Mahlangu, Lazola Maku, Kgaogelo Sekgota, Pogiso Sanoka, Enoch Quaicoe, Gape Moralo, Keanin Ayer and Lyle Lakay.
Confirming the departures, Siwelele FC thanked the players for their service and wished them success in the next chapter of their careers.
“Siwelele FC can confirm the departure of the following players. We thank each of them for their contribution to the club and wish them everything of the best in their future endeavours,” the club said in a statement.
The overhaul comes as clubs across the Betway Premiership strengthen their squads before the new campaign. Siwelele have already begun reinforcing their team, with former Orlando Pirates defenders Thabiso Sesane and Selaelo Rasebotja among the new arrivals as the club looks to build on last season’s survival.
More signings are expected in the coming weeks as Siwelele continue preparations for the new season, with the club aiming to establish itself as a competitive force in South African football after a successful return to the Premiership.
