House of BNG has been announced as the official beverage partner for Music Night at the fifth annual Basadi in Music Awards, adding a touch of luxury to one of South Africa’s biggest celebrations of women in music.

The partnership will come to life on Saturday, 8 August 2026, at the Joburg Theatre in Johannesburg, where the awards will celebrate their fifth anniversary under the theme Rewind and the campaign Africa to the World.

The collaboration brings together two proudly South African brands committed to celebrating excellence, empowering women and showcasing African talent on a global stage.

Guests attending Music Night can expect the signature elegance associated with House of BNG as the sparkling wine brand joins the festivities honouring the women who continue to shape the African music industry, both on and off the stage.

Basadi in Music Awards founder and CEO Hloni Modise Matau said welcoming House of BNG to the awards was a fitting way to mark the milestone anniversary.

“As we celebrate five years of the Basadi in Music Awards, we are incredibly proud to welcome House of BNG as our Official Beverage Partner for Music Night. House of BNG has become one of South Africa’s most celebrated luxury brands, representing excellence, ambition and the spirit of celebrating every milestone. Those values perfectly align with what Basadi stands for.

“This partnership is about more than sharing a toast; it is about two proudly South African brands coming together to honour the phenomenal women who continue to shape the soundtrack of our lives. We are grateful to Bonang Matheba and the House of BNG team for believing in our vision as we continue to celebrate African excellence and take our stories from Africa to the world.”

Founded by media personality and entrepreneur Bonang Matheba, House of BNG has established itself as one of South Africa’s leading luxury sparkling wine brands and has become synonymous with celebration, aspiration and success.

Matheba said supporting the Basadi in Music Awards aligns with the brand’s purpose of celebrating women making an impact across the music industry.

“I built House of BNG because I wanted South African women to have something of their own to raise. Basadi has spent five years making sure the women who shape this industry are named, celebrated and taken seriously, not just the ones on stage, but the managers, producers and creatives behind them. Being the brand in the room when those names are called is exactly where we should be.”

Over the past five years, the Basadi in Music Awards has grown into one of Africa’s leading platforms dedicated to recognising women across every aspect of the music business, from artists and producers to executives and creatives. Organisers say partnerships with iconic South African brands such as House of BNG continue to elevate the event while reinforcing a shared commitment to empowering women and celebrating African excellence.

This year’s Music Night is expected to feature spectacular live performances, prestigious award presentations, emotional tributes and appearances from some of the continent’s biggest stars as the industry gathers to celebrate the women redefining African music.

The Basadi in Music Awards 2026 Music Night takes place on Saturday, 8 August, at the Joburg Theatre in Johannesburg. Tickets are available through the Joburg Theatre.
