SAMA-nominated singer, songwriter and worship leader Brenden Praise has reunited with the Free 2 Wrshp collective to release The Gift Vol. II, a new worship EP that explores faith, gratitude and a deeper relationship with God.
The project follows the success of The Gift Vol. I, which centred on God’s grace and mercy. This latest instalment takes listeners on a more reflective spiritual journey, focusing on trusting God’s timing through every season of life, from moments of celebration to periods of waiting and personal growth.
Leading the EP is the focus track, Ufanelwe, a worship anthem that celebrates God as worthy of all honour and praise. Anchored by Brenden’s signature soulful vocals and heartfelt delivery, the song is both a personal declaration of faith and an invitation for believers to worship together.
The project was created alongside the Free 2 Wrshp collective, a community of worshippers and musicians dedicated to creating authentic spaces for praise and spiritual connection through music. Together, they have developed a sound built on honesty, excellence and intimacy, allowing The Gift series to resonate with listeners seeking encouragement, hope and a closer walk with God.
Brenden first won over South African audiences as the runner-up on Idols South Africa Season 9 and has since become one of the country’s most recognised voices in gospel and inspirational music. His ability to blend contemporary gospel, soul and worship has earned him critical acclaim, including a South African Music Award nomination, while his music continues to inspire audiences with messages of hope, authenticity and faith.
With The Gift Vol. II, Brenden says he wanted to remind listeners that faith is not only built during life’s greatest victories but also in the quieter moments of trust and perseverance.
“The Gift Vol. II is about discovering the heart of God in every season,” says Brenden Praise. “Creating this project alongside the Free 2 Wrshp family has been a reminder that worship is something we experience together. My hope is that these songs encourage people to trust God more deeply and encounter Him in both the victories and the waiting.”
The EP serves as both a soundtrack for personal devotion and a reminder that God’s presence and goodness remain constant throughout every chapter of life. Through heartfelt songwriting, uplifting production and a timeless message of hope, The Gift Vol. II continues Brenden Praise’s musical and spiritual journey while offering listeners songs designed to encourage, comfort and inspire long after the music ends.
