Ukhozi FM radio host and Gospel music sensation Phindi P prepares for the release of upcoming music Video for the single “I Celebrate”
South African gospel artist, broadcaster, and media personality Phindi P (born Phindile Phewa) is continuing to build momentum around her latest body of work, Grace Note – Part 1, which was officially released in February 2026. Two months since its release, the project continues to resonate strongly with audiences across South Africa and beyond, with growing streaming numbers, radio support, and impactful listener engagement across digital platforms.
Phindi P, who is also a prominent presenter on SABC’s Ukhozi FM, remains one of the most influential voices in South African gospel and inspirational broadcasting. She currently hosts Ulibo Lokugala (03:00–05:00, weekdays) and Ebukhoneni (Sundays, 09:00–12:00), where her voice continues to uplift and inspire millions of listeners daily. Her ability to bridge faith, culture, and encouragement has further strengthened her connection with audiences both on air and through her music ministry.
Alongside her broadcasting career, Phindi P continues to maintain a strong presence in the South African entertainment industry as an actress, having appeared in productions such as Mzansi Magic dramas and the medical series Durban Gen. Her artistic versatility is matched by her growing international recognition as a gospel recording artist and worship leader whose ministry has reached audiences across Africa and global worship platforms. She has shared stages with renowned gospel figures, including VaShawn Mitchell and Benjamin Dube, through Spirit of Praise Volume 8, solidifying her place in live gospel performance.
Since the release of Grace Note – Part 1, the project has been praised for its deeply spiritual atmosphere and its blend of contemporary gospel, live worship instrumentation, and African-inspired soundscapes. The album continues the journey of Phindi P’s evolving musical ministry, following a consistent catalogue of impactful releases including Worship Wells, I Believe, Prayer Altar, and God Did It, all of which have shaped her identity as a worship leader with a strong prophetic and devotional voice.
“Grace Note – Part 1 is a deeply personal and spiritual offering for me. Every song carries a message of God’s faithfulness, and I am humbled by how people have connected with it so far. This project truly came from a place of prayer, surrender, and gratitude,” Phindi P says.
Now, as the project continues to gain traction, Phindi P is gearing up for the release of a music video for one of the standout singles from the album. The upcoming visual is expected to bring a powerful and immersive worship experience to life, reflecting the heart of the song through cinematic storytelling, spiritual depth, and authentic worship expression. The announcement has already generated anticipation among her growing global audience, who continue to engage strongly with the album across streaming platforms.
“As we prepare to release the music video, my prayer is that it will not only be visually powerful, but also draw people into a deeper place of worship and encounter,” she adds.
Her recent work on Grace Note – Part 1 also features collaborations with respected international gospel voices, including Nigerian artist Peterson Okopi, further reinforcing her cross-continental gospel influence.
As a radio host and singer, she strikes a seamless balance.
“As much as I work in radio, in a gospel slot, I use my time wisely, even with MC work and other outside work, I wouldn’t say it’s hard because God has graced me with capacity,” she says.
“Ukhozi FM has taught me so much, introducing me to a crowd of people that not only like music but also a crowd that like to engage with me as a presenter. Also, learning how to communicate well with people. Hearing different testimonies from people encourages me to constantly be in the right standing.”
