Nolubabalo Mcinga, the fired deputy president of Afrika Mayibuye Movement and the estranged wife of AbaThembu King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo, has spoken up after Floyd Shivambu conducted an interview on the King David show with broadcasting giant, David Mashabela.
During the interview, Shivambu was asked about his leadership style.
“Mayibuye is not a cult-ish experience. It’s about producing future leaders and not micromanaging them. If they show signs of selfishness and corruption, we will decisively remove them from positions of leadership and only remain with the best of the best.”
Implying about leaders who have been removed, such as Mcinga.
Mcinga revealed that Shivambu “could not even address me when I asked him for a one-on-one before they recalled me, and now he’s lying,” Mcinga said.
“He claims he was the one who said I must be dismissed immediately in that podcast of King David—but that is false, he asked for a break when the meeting was heated up, and he went outside to smoke two cigarettes. When he returned, the decision was taken collectively without him. I am not proud to say that they dismissed me without following the proper process.”
Mcinga said Bishop Magaba Zondo sided with Floyd, urging that she be called for a hearing.
“But the collective refused and went ahead unconstitutionally.”
She did not hold back, calling Floyd a coward.
“I protected him, I protected the movement, and I made sure the Mayibuye consultations were completed, all while he spread lies and undermined everything I built. He is a coward.”
She noted her historic role in “keeping Afrika Mayibuye alive—coordinating leaders, positioning loyal allies across Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and the Eastern Cape, and ensuring the movement remained fully operational.”
Meanwhile, her estranged husband, King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo, recently made international headlines for his visit to Israel, which sparked conversations about diplomatic tensions and the ambassador being asked to leave the country.
