Their fans have been praying for their reunion. Amapiano duo Sabelo Zuma and Reece Madlisa had gone their separate ways after an unspoken fallout two years ago. The two have since reunited and will be releasing new music as a group.

The childhood friends have been in the studio recording new music. This past weekend, Zuma and Reece Madlisa performed together at the Hollywoodbets Durban July after almost two years of not working together. The duo performed their hits at Konka’s relaunch party in Durban. Speaking to Buzz Life News, Zuma confirmed they were officially back together. “We have been trying to resolve ur differences and focus on work,” he said. “It’s not easy being in a group – different personalities and conflicts, but we are back. We will see how it goes. People have been calling for the reunion,” he revealed.

Reece Madlisa and Zuma became household names through songs like Umsebenzi Wethu and Sithi Sithi, which were their breakthrough singles. The duo has since performed on stages across the country and is known as a dynamite duo. But this year things have taken a turn as the duo goes their separate ways. After rumours of a dramatic split resurfaced. Reece Madlisa officially made the split clear by sharing details of his upcoming solo EP titled Kwaito Nama Medi set for release in the first week of February. The five-track project features the likes of Six40 & Classic Deep, Khanyisa Jaceni, Jabulile, Shuger, Letso, and luuDadeejay; however, it does not feature his long-term friend Zuma. The confirmed they have made new music. “We made some amazing tracks already, but we are in no rush to release,” Zuma said.
