Hailing from the small town of Endwedwe (eBhamshela), Lunga is known for his unique sound—a vibrant blend of Afrobeats, Amapiano, Hip Hop, and Indie. However, behind the scenes, his journey has been far from easy. Early in his career, Lunga struggled with the weight of unfulfilled dreams and crippling depression, as the music industry proved unforgiving.
“There were nights I didn’t know if I could keep going,” Lunga shares. “But I held onto hope and kept fighting for my vision.”
His breakthrough came through collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Sino Msolo, Given Zulu, and Kenza, which eventually led to a record deal with Sony Music in 2021. Since then, Lunga has continued to evolve as both an artist and a person.

His new single‘“Ngeke Sizwe Ngawe’, featuring Kokza Deman, Goitse ZA, and JVST SVM, dropped on March 29 and showcases not only his growth but his resilience. The track weaves emotional storytelling into his signature rhythmic style, symbolizing a fresh chapter in his artistic journey.
