Renowned award-winning artist and producer, Dr Victor (from Dr Victor & the Rasta Rebels-fame) has teamed up with rising star Dboy in an inspiring new single, “No Fear”, which releases on Friday, 2nd May.
The much-anticipated new single brings an inspirational message to life with an energetic Afrobeats groove at the heart of the music, with elements of live instruments incorporated to create a sound that’s both timeless and globally appealing.
Built on the idea that we can overcome all life’s challenges, the song draws from personal experiences, parental advice and the wisdom of deep life lessons, and speaks to the resilience of the human spirit. The single is anchored by the powerful acronym FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) and challenges the listener to confront their doubt and embrace resilience.
“I am trying to move away from the cliché of love records, I decided that the lyrics will be motivational but still allow you to groove,” shares Dboy. “When I received the music from David, I just played it on repeat and let it guide the writing process. It was important for me to create something that’s both meaningful and entertaining.”
Dr Victor brings his rich experience to this collaboration, with Dboy complementing the track with his fresh perspective and dynamic presence, creating a cross-generational soundscape that is as universal as it is unique.
