Border Management Authority (BMA) has arrested five foreign nationals for attempting to smuggle goods from Zimbabwe through the Limpopo River outside Musina in Limpopo.

Border Management Authority said the suspects were spotted through the use of drones to monitor some illegal activities in and along the borderline. Deputy assistant commissioner, Rudzani Mphilo, said they want to ensure safety and curb illegal activities at the Beitbridge port-of-entry and along the borderline.
“We were through the drone able to direct for the reaction force on the ground, made out of SANDF SAPS, to go and intercept and indeed they managed to intercept,” he said. “We have just now arrested five illegal immigrants smuggling goods out of the country and they will be processed accordingly.”
