Halal Afrika is a biannual event, that allows artist from different walks of life to share their beautiful songs with diverse cultures across the world. Formed in 2016, in Maryland, USA by the Onn Brothers, and a group of like-minded Africans, they released their debut album “My Best Worship” in 2017. “HALAL” is a Hebrew word meaning “Praise.”
Halal Afrika recently completed a project and recorded with some of South Africa’s moving praise and worship singers. To kick-start the releases, Halal Afrika features renowned gospel singer Oncemore Six in the new single, ‘We Worship Adonai’.
Written by Kofi Karikari and produced by Clay Bogan, the single encapsulates a heartfelt declaration of reverence and praise and invites the listener into a deep, meditative, and intimate experience with God.
“Working with Halal Afrika was a great experience. They have created an environment where artists from all over the world can draw from each other in diversity and enjoy different expressions of worship through songs. This has not only been a learning experience but a space where I could challenge myself to grow,” – Oncemore Six said.
“Apart from the song being a blessing to me, this collaboration left a great impact on me. I consider myself blessed to have worked with such gifted musicians in putting this beautiful offering for the body of Christ. I am convinced this song will continue to bless people all over the world,” he added.
Halal’ Afrika said working with Oncemore was an equally amazing experience. “We’ve had the chance to collaborate with him during our two trips to South Africa, and this time as recording artists made it even more special.”
