S3 launches a new electrifying, 13-part interior design and renovation reality series, My Design Rules, starting Sunday, 29th of September 2024, at 19:00.

Hosted by Ryle De Morny, the series will introduce four dynamic design duos as they reimagine and reinvent four apartments in a century-old building in the vibrant suburb of Sea Point, Cape Town. Once the heartbeat of the community, this heritage block craves a new lease on life.

Armed with creativity, determination, and a limited budget, the duos fight against the clock to transform this ‘grand old dame’ into a contemporary masterpiece, all under the critical eyes of an expert judging panel. But it’s more than just design—this is about realizing dreams and building careers. The winning duo will claim a grand prize of R300 000, with an additional R100 000 going to the fan-favourite team, as voted by the viewers.

The duos must work hard to impress the judges, a former decor magazine editor, curator of Littlegig, and renowned cultural instigators Bielle Bellingham and Lesego Moagi, a dynamic strategy, marketing and consumer behaviour specialist.

Meet the top 8 duos who step into the world of My Design Rules, where every moment is a masterpiece:

Amy Moses and Josua Joubert

This duo brings together the best of both worlds; Amy is a Cape Town-based interior designer with experience in joinery, retail, residential, and restaurant design. Josua is an interior architect from Kempton Park.

With a vision for timeless design and the ability to turn design dreams into reality, they hope to make it through to the final four duos. Who will reimagine and reinvent one of our heritage apartments?

Beulah Hlatshwayo and Lungile Nkosi

Beulah & Lungile share a relationship most of us can resonate with – they became insta-buddies through a common interest!

With a shared love for interior design and experience in managing projects from conception to completion, this creative solutions-driven duo hopes to bring their unique dynamism to your screens.
