The African Trap Star Tshepo Modise Aka “Cruz Afrika” decided that he was going to do what most Artists fear, which is to go against the grain by chasing his dreams of being a rapper, after years of a very successful career and the addition of relative industry awards.
The controversial South African trap star Mr “Pray for me” hit maker announces that he is ready to retire from the music industry.
Ever heard the saying, when one journey ends, it’s the beginning of an entire new one? That’s the case for Cruz Afrika the CEO of Afrika Hotlines as he prepares to celebrate his 40th birthday this year on the 23rd of March 2023.
Cruz Afrika took to his social media accounts and posted a heartfelt video clip to announce the news of his retirement from the music industry. He mentioned that although he will not be recoding any new music, but he will still be available for features and co-sign’s for the benefit of young independent artists to use his house hold brand status to further their careers.
In the video @Iamcruzafrika mentioned that he plans on using the extra time on his hands to significantly develop his co- record label artists @Nex_Vocals ,@Djlisa_sa, @Dj_Fingz and @2la_Sa .
However his main focus will be to empower and mentor young artist across the country so they can live their dreams . In the trending clip Mr “Shaka Zulu” hit maker said: “My plan is to focus on @Afrikahotlines which his well- established record label / Marketing and PR company.
To celebrate the highlight of his career, Cruz Afrika told his followers that he will be closing off his music career with a USA club tour, which will see him performing 10 shows across 5 states, including, New York, Atlanta, The Bay Area, and Los Angeles.
The South African Rap star will be accompanied by a few artists from the mother land as they rock the US between August and September 2023. However for the national club Tour Cruz Afrika’s Birthday Tour will be limited to his 3 favourite clubs in the following provinces, Johannesburg, Durban , Cape Town and P.E ,Look out for Confirmed dates and venues on his social media u don’t want to miss this one time show!
This announcement was unexpected and has left a lot of his fans shocked but on the other hand many excited for the opportunity Cruz Afrika has to share especially the up and coming young talent.
