Polo season is in full swing and the Aon Inanda International Polo in association with Bravo Brands has ensured to pull out all the stops for their much anticipated 23 goal clash between South Africa vs Argentina being hosted at the Inanda Club, Sandton on Saturday 07 May 2022. Guests in attendance can expect an afternoon of royal inspired aesthetics, delectable cuisine, curated cocktails prepared to perfection by event partners and of course an action filled day with sports and fun.
In a star studded lead up to this highly anticipated polo match, the Inanda Club partnered with Heineken to launch their 2022 Masterclass series submerging their guests into the glitzy world of Polo. The event commenenced with a welcome address from Craig James, Polo Manager at the prestigious Inanda Club in Sandton, who gave attendees an insight into the rich history of the Sport of Kings on the African continent and in particular the role that has been played by the club over the past decades. With these words, Craig illustrated the vibrant future of the polo in Africa and lifted the curtain to the exciting and interactive collaboration announcements and activities planned for the day.
Guests arrived fittingly on the Worker’s Day public holiday in relaxed attire to the refreshing taste of Heineken specially curated drinks and tantalising canapés. The masterclass kicked off with an in depth lesson on the sport of polo where guests had a moment to capture the rules, etiquette and history of the game. However, it isn’t like all sports; the polo is as much about the fashion, luxury and socialising as it is about the horses. The day ended off with an address by award winning celebrity stylist, Phupho Gumede, who shared key messages on polo fashion and the dress theme, Royal Polo Chic, do’s and don’ts. The theme inspired by the upcoming wedding anniversary of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, is meant to see how guests interpret the theme as a guest at the Royal wedding.
As the afternoon rolled in, attendees gathered around to soak up the sun swinging mallets on the field all while enjoying curated Heineken cocktails. Heineken has developed a brand strategy of dominantly being visible in all things sport and well anticipated social tickets over the years in ensuring that their consumers connect with the brand through their passions and shared moments, and this collaboration would be no exception to this philosophy.
