Exotic dancer and reality tv star Zodwa Wabantu, 34 has denied claims that she received a warrant of arrest in Botswana.

In a statement circulating on social media from Take It Easy Music Festival stating that Zodwa was issued with a warrant of arrest for for violating the laws of Botswana and Humanity Ethics has been making rounds.
The statement reads, “We regret to inform you that our main act for today’s show – Zodwa Wabantu won’t be able to attend the event due to reasons/circumstances beyond our control which some of them include restraintments from the laws of Botswana.”
“Even If she was to bypass the restraining orders from Botswana Police, the Bogosi Leadership of Maun Village were Against her performing here in Maun today!”
But the performer says she did not attend the event due to event organisers failing to pay her prior. Zodwa has since informed Buzz Life News that she was never paid upfront.
“I don’t now anything about a warrant; I didn’t go because they didn’t pay me. People like to use my name for publicity, its okay. I didn’t even post their event on my social media because they didn’t pay.”

Clayson Monyela who is the spokesperson from the Department of International Relations and Co-operation informed Tshisalive that he was not aware of any warrant issued against Zodwa.
