The event was scheduled for the 4th of December in partnership with Channel O and Metro FM. A new date will be communicated when the organisers of the event, HEINEKEN SA and its associated partners, are able to create a safe environment for patrons and music lovers. HEINEKEN SA, upholding its safety first values, would like to play a part in ensuring a safe festive season for all, so they have chosen to reschedule Friends of Amstel SA for a time when everyone can enjoy themselves responsibly.

“After months of planning and excitement, it is unfortunate that we have to postpone the Friends of Amstel SA live event but we are committed to keeping our friends safe. We have seen the rise in Covid-19 cases and it is the responsible thing to do to put the safety of our patrons first. We will announce a new date for the music experience and we hope to see you there,” says Amstel Senior Brand Manager, Boipelo Malao.

Amstel is already working with local authorities to evaluate travel solutions for the international act and reschedule the event. A new date for the Friends of Amstel SA festival will be confirmed and announced in due time.
