The iconic, legendary actor Ntate Jerry Phele makes his return to TV – in a role named after himself. But, as we soon discover in his Smoke & Mirrors debut on the 24th June at 9PM, his character is a swindler.
When Jerry enters through the doors of Martha’s hotel, he’s swarmed by people who immediately recognise him and want to rub shoulders with him. Little do they know that Jerry is a swindler, and his whole scam is that he claims he’s in Emnayameni to shoot a movie.
Petunia realises that Jerry’s movie could be a hoax as he fails to settle his hotel bills, and so from there, Jerry’s cover risks being blown. Will Jerry be able to continue with his antics? Well, we have to stay tuned to Smoke & Mirrors to find out!
