The Miss South Africa 2026 finale will take place on Saturday, 14 November, at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, with tickets now available from R450.

The event will see 12 finalists compete for the national title, with the Ndlovu Youth Choir and JAZZWRLD, formerly known as Jazzworx, featuring Thukuthela, confirmed as the first performers for the evening.

Red carpet and entertainment

Kuhle Adams and Kat Sinivasan will host the official red carpet, welcoming guests ahead of the main event.

The confirmed performers will bring together South African choral music and contemporary African sounds as the finalists take to the stage for the crowning ceremony.

This year’s production will follow the creative theme “From Imbokodo to Diamond”, celebrating the strength, resilience and leadership of South African women.

The concept draws on Imbokodo as a symbol of women’s strength, service and contribution to society, alongside the brilliance and significance of the diamond.

The production will combine African heritage, contemporary fashion, music, stage design and storytelling, positioning the finale as more than a beauty competition.

Beyond the crown

The Miss South Africa platform continues to emphasise leadership and social transformation, with all 12 finalists expected to carry a mandate to lead, inspire and create meaningful impact.

Through Empower Youth Africa (EYA), the organisation aims to empower young people and create pathways to opportunity, reinforcing its focus on developing the next generation of leaders.

The Sandton Convention Centre will host the production across more than 10,000 square metres of combined venue space. The venue is also within easy reach of Sandton City, Nelson Mandela Square and the Sandton Gautrain station.

Eugene Naidoo has been appointed broadcast director for the 2026 finale. His experience includes live entertainment broadcasts, music events and major television productions, including the South African Film and Television Awards.

Further announcements, including headline artists, main show hosts and the official judging panel, are expected in the coming weeks.

Documentary series explores the contestants’ journeys

Ahead of the finale, Miss South Africa will premiere The Mandate, a seven part premium documentary series following the Top 19 contestants through a journey of leadership, entrepreneurship, personal transformation and public purpose.

The series offers a behind the scenes look at the women competing for the title, exploring their aspirations, resilience, ambitions and understanding of leadership.

Rather than focusing solely on the competition, The Mandate examines the responsibilities that come with the crown and the evolving role of Miss South Africa as a platform for influence, advocacy and youth empowerment.

It also challenges long held assumptions about the competition, highlighting the potential of the platform to contribute to conversations about entrepreneurship, innovation, civic participation and social change.

The series explores leadership as service, the future of African women and the importance of using ambition and influence to benefit society.

Ultimately, one woman will be crowned Miss South Africa 2026, but the documentary places a broader question at the centre of the journey: who will lead?

Miss South Africa is one of the country’s recognised youth platforms focused on leadership, excellence, purpose and impact. Through its titleholders and Empower Youth Africa initiative, the organisation seeks to inspire young people to contribute meaningfully to their communities, South Africa and the continent.
