Television producer, radio host and media executive Relebogile Mabotja has officially stepped down as a director and shareholder of Black Swan Media, bringing an end to a significant chapter in her career and paving the way for the launch of her own company, Lebotja Media.

Relebogile confirmed her departure from the production company, which has been behind some of South Africa’s most successful television productions, including The Single Wives SA, The Remix SA, The Voice South Africa Season 3, the Miss South Africa pageant and its accompanying reality series Crown Chasers, as well as the annual South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs). Confirming the move, Relebogile reflected on her time at Black Swan Media.

“Last month, I officially stepped down from Black Swan Media as Director and Shareholder after over five years of incredible productions, awards, partnerships and growth. It was a meaningful chapter in my journey and I am deeply grateful for the projects, collaborations, clients, suppliers, teams and partners who formed part of that season,” she said.

She said her departure should not be viewed as an exit from the entertainment industry, but rather as the beginning of a new phase in her career.

“I am not leaving the industry. I am expanding into the next evolution of my work and will continue to explore all my professional, creative and production endeavours through Lebotja Media.”

Lebotja Media will serve as Mabotja’s new home for future production, media and creative projects as she seeks to build on the experience and industry relationships she has cultivated over the years.
