Actress and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Goodwill Ambassador Nomzamo Mbatha has donated R1 million towards sending African children to school and donating school supplies.
The KwaZulu-Natal actress did this through the Nomzamo Mbatha Lighthouse Foundation, partnered up with betting company, Hollywood Bets in order to ensure children receive quality education despite being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nomzamo began her partnership with Hollywood Bets in 2020 where she donated R 50 000 worth of bursaries to university students in South Africa and this year she doubled her donation.
