This October, the Johannesburg Garden Club invites garden enthusiasts and families to a weekend of botanical beauty and exquisite culinary indulgence at the Hyde Park Open Garden event.
For two days only, on October 19th and 20th, visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore the meticulously designed gardens by Shirley Louise Wallington, brought to life by Strylitzia Landscaping. Join us from 10 AM to 4:30 PM to celebrate Garden Day in a setting that combines natural beauty with gourmet treats.

- Garden Viewing: Experience the tranquillity of two private gardens and various themed shared spaces. Discover the Orchard with its array of citrus trees in terracotta pots, walls draped with espaliered apples and roses, and a woodland garden brightened by yellow clivia. Meander along a cedar block path to a lush vegetable garden and greenhouse, showcasing the productivity of a well-tended garden.

Tickets are priced at R100, with complimentary entry for children under 12. To ensure swift access, advance ticket purchases through Quicket are recommended. All proceeds will support local children’s welfare initiatives, combining community support with garden exploration.
