Limpopo Lekompo musician Tska has reportedly been arrested in Polokwane after police allegedly discovered an unlicensed firearm and ammunition at his residence.
It is alleged that a warrant of arrest was executed at the musician’s home that afternoon. The arrest relates to allegations of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
It is alleged that several rounds of ammunition and an allegedly unlicensed firearm were found during a search of the premises.
Videos circulating on social media, show the artist hand cuffed and being put inside a private police vehicle.
At the time of the report, the musician was in police custody, with a first appearance at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court expected within 48 hours of his arrest.
Other reports allege that the musician may be linked to a separate investigation opened in 2025 following a complaint of alleged defamation involving a radio personality and a social media post.
According to the publication, the firearm investigation emerged during the course of that inquiry. However, the precise relationship between the two matters and the status of the earlier complaint were not confirmed in the report.
South Africa’s Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000 regulates the licensing and possession of firearms and ammunition. Possessing a firearm without the required licence can result in criminal prosecution and imprisonment if the accused is convicted.
