He never misses a controversial headline. Award-winning music producer and Amapiano heavyweight DJ Maphorisa – real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe has fallen out with fellow producer Shaun 101 during a night out that took an unexpected turn over a song he allegedly made.
The two butted heads when they met on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, at a nightclub where Maphorisa was hanging out with regular collaborators Kabza De Small, Kelvin Momo, and Shaun 101 himself. What began as a relaxed evening turned tense when a disagreement between Maphorisa and Shaun 101.
In the video, which has since gone viral on social media, Maphorisa is seen arguing with Shaun 101. Although it didn’t get physical, the intensity of the exchange left many fans surprised. Neither Shaun 101 nor Maphorisa has responded to questions regarding the matter.
