She has open and spoken up about her calling to be a traditional healer. However, the singer and performer say she is still confused about what healing powers are despite going to thwasa or initiation school. Sharing her story with her fans, Zinhle said, that initiation school was one of the toughest things she has experienced. “I spent over R100 000 on my initiation,” she said.

Zinhle shared how her gobela mistreated her, but she stayed humble. “I wanted to leave a better person. I was willing to learn and go ahead with the process, maybe my life would be better,” she said. “My family, mom, and aunts were supportive. They are the type to let you be yourself, learn and If things don’t work out, then we move on. So they supported me,” she added.”

Zinhle said the gobela was always asking for money. Even upon leaving, she was still in the dark about her calling. “I never even dreamt of my sangoma beads. I was just asked to choose my favourite colours. I never dream of anything. You are supposed to dream of what happens next, that didn’t happen to me. I have so many people who can testify, I would send them screenshots of my messages, in case anything happened to me,” she added.” When things eventually went sour, she left. “I was sworn at by my gobela. I would apologised for nothing when she got angry. I entered the phehlo (initiation) as Zinhle and left the same, there was no difference or change in me. We fought because of the way she spoke to me.”
