A 54-year-old female suspect is expected to appear in the Acornhoek Magistrate’s Court today in connection with the murder of her male partner at Boelang Trust, Acornhoek.

According to the report, on 13 June 2025, police received information regarding the discovery of a male body in a room at the mentioned location. Upon arrival, officers found the lifeless body of a 63-year-old male lying on the ground with visible bruises on his neck.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased and his long-time girlfriend had an argument on Thursday, 12 June 2025, which allegedly ended in the suspect strangling the victim. The suspect was traced and arrested by detectives on standby in Makhushane Village, in the Phalaborwa area of Limpopo, on Saturday, 14 June 2025.

It is heart-breaking when disputes end in tragedy. We urge individuals to seek help and resolve issues through peaceful and lawful means rather than resorting to violence,” said the General.
