Kaya 959 celebrates Africa Day this Sunday with a special edition of The World Show with Nicky B, featuring esteemed South African artists Ringo Madlingozi, Sabu Jiyana, and the vocal ensemble Beyond Vocal.

This celebration aligns with the show’s mission to present a pan-African musical journey that bridges generations and genres, offering listeners a rich tapestry of sounds from across the continent.

The legendary Ringo Madlingozi is marking his return to the music scene after a hiatus dedicated to his political career. Having served as a Member of Parliament for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Madlingozi has decided to refocus on his musical roots, aiming to deliver “music that heals”.

Sabu Jiyana, the creative force behind the percussion-driven Matimba project, recently released his EP KwaNomthandazo. His work is known for blending traditional African rhythms with contemporary sounds, creating a bridge between the past and the future.
