Barely five months since her mother and veteran singer Winnie Khumalo passed on following a string of illnesses including diabetes and bronchitis. Singer Rethabile Khumalo is mourning the death of another loved one.

The Umlilo singer announced the passing of her cousin. Without revealing what led to his death, Rethabile shared her grief. “Say Hi to mom on the other side,” she said.

Rethabile recently opened a fast-food business dedicated to her late mother. The singer said, that during the Covid-19 pandemic, she and her mother wanted to start a food truck business but things never materialised. She then wanted to fulfill her late mom’s wishes. “We could handle it on our own and when we were supposed to launch it, my mother passed away. ” She is currently the only employee but business is picking up. “I am working alone but I believe I will get people to assist me,” she said.
