On the 28th and 29th of September 2024, Freedom Park Heritage Site in Pretoria will be the place to be. Feel the energy as top South African musicians take to the stage in three different entertainment areas.
This is an all-encompassing festival with a difference where we celebrate all things #MadeInMzansi from written and fine arts, crafts, food, fashion and a mini film festival reflecting South Africa’s 30 years of democracy and resilience. The two day journey promises to be a fantastical experience. Gates open at 10h00 and close at 22:00.

We aim to give you an immersive and visual experience. The festival will play host to two art exhibitions by painter Thokozani Madonsela and photographer Len Khumalo. Alongside the art exhibitions with a small film festival, shining the spotlight on our amazing local art scene and young promising film creatives and directors. A 30 year celebration of “The Child Artist” Exhibition showcasing art pieces collected over the last 60 years from winners of the Santam’s Child Art’s programme. Come and celebrate our budding young artists and maybe purchase a collector’s item or two.

About Freedom Park Heritage Site
Freedom Park is a heritage site and museum located in Pretoria, South Africa. It was established to honour those who contributed to the country’s struggle for freedom and democracy. The park serves as a symbol of national unity, reconciliation, and remembrance, reflecting South Africa’s journey from oppression to liberation. It features various memorials, such as the Wall of Names, the Eternal Flame, and the Isivivane, which collectively commemorate the heroes and heroines who fought for justice. Freedom Park also serves as a space for reflection, education, and celebration of the country’s diverse cultural heritage, promoting social cohesion and nation-building.
