Ayanda Larkin-Harrison, a community builder and founder of Vuyolethu Haven, is set to host a Vuyolethu Haven launch charity event in August to raise awareness education, and training in support of children with Autism.

The event, scheduled for the 24th of August 2024, aims to bring attention to the challenges faced by children with Autism and their families while raising funds to support research and educational initiatives related to Autism.

Ayanda’s personal connection to the cause drives her passion for organizing this event. As a parent of a child living with Autism, she understands firsthand the impact this condition has on families and is committed to making a difference in the lives of affected children.

The Vuyolethu Haven launch event will feature a range of activities for attendees of all ages, including Neurodiverse young experts panelists  telling their personal experiences with topics such as educational experience and acceptance, challenges, and coping strategies, employment opportunities, and barriers amongst other topics. We are thrilled to invite the community, educators, health practitioners, parents and/or caregivers to join us in raising awareness and support for children living with Autism,” said Ayanda Larkin-Harrison. “This event is an opportunity for us to come together as a community and make a meaningful impact in the lives of those facing the challenges of Autism, it will not only provide a platform for young neurodiverse but allow them to share their stories.”
