After more than 10 years of making music as a DJ, drummer, and producer, NV Funk, real name Nathan Van Dalen is quitting music.
The Durban DJ made the announcement saying his time is up in the music business and he will be dedicating his time to retire arrived sooner than expected, and it will be effective immediately. “This decision, although emotional, is driven by my desire to fully follow Jesus Christ,” he said.
He took time to reflect on his journey. “I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunities I’ve had locally, nationally, and internationally. The experiences, friendships, and memories made during this time will always hold a special place in my heart,” he added. He thanked his team for their love and support. It has been an honour to be part of such a dynamic and talented team. God has called me to a new phase in my life and I am excited to embark on the new chapter with Jesus by my side.” He looks forward to living a life in ministry. “ Today I drop my drumsticks and pick up the cross wholeheartedly.”
