They are known for their great service and exceptional African print designs. Fashion designer and businesswoman Florence Nkateko Khoza (35) from Lufi D collections has accused a staff member of stealing from her business.

The businesswoman has taken to social media to expose a former staff member, Sindi Ngema of theft, saying she has been taking money from clients after being fired. “Sindi Ngema, who used to work at our Durban branch has been fired. But she continues to ask our clients to deposit money into her personal account and says you can come collect the clothes in our store. Please don’t, she’s a scammer.”

She put out a cautionary message to customers. “ If you’ve been Scammed by this lady: Sindi Ngema (former employee in our Durban store), we kindly ask that you please open a case against her so that we can be able to take Legal actions against her doings,” she added. Sindi’s phone was off when called for right of reply.

Florence is Yvonne Chaka-Chaka’s daughter-in-law. She started her business in 2016 after leaving her nine-to-five job as a sales representative at an insurance company. She had a National Certificate in Information Technology from Birnam College in Johannesburg at the time but was employed in IT. She then decided to leave her job and hired a seamstress to assist her with learning to cut patterns and sketch outfits and in no time, her business was up and running. At first, she supplied, The Space stores nationwide, until she opened her first branch. Now, she is available countrywide.
