Controversial Limpopo singer Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke has come forth to expose DJ Maphorisa over their song “Twerka.”
Shebeshxt, in a podcast, said DJ Maphorisa did not provide him with the necessary split sheets for the song that was produced by Maphisa’s young employee Xduppy and did not inform him either about the release of the track. He allegedly failed to communicate the release date and Shebeshxt only found out through the internet after the song had been released. “It’s out. I heard it on the internet.” Shebeshxt said. “I don’t like to sugarcoat anything. I always tell the truth. He is my brother but it’s the truth, nothing, no spreadsheets, totally,” he said.
Shebeshxt says he has always respected Maphorisa since the days he was with Uhuru. “I just want it sorted, and get split sheets. Knowledge is power, I want to learn. He knows a lot more than me. I wish brothers like him would teach us how to do things.”
This is not the first time DJ Maphorisa has released music without informing co-stars. He previously released Kabza De Small’s Album under the Scorpion Kings marker without telling him. Kabza disclosed this The disclosure during an interview that went viral on social media. He claimed that Maphorisa decided to name and release his record while they were still working on it. “I was aware that Maphorisa had left for Los Angeles and that my album was about to be released. Scorpion Kings was the name of the CD he actually uploaded before leaving for Los Angeles.”
