Over the weekend, Lunathi’s team at The River walked off with five trophies at the Royalty Soapie Awards founded by actress Winnie Ntshaba. “I also want to extend my sincere thanks to @1magictv@tshedzapictures@makwarelaphathu@bongapercy Gwydion the cast, and crew who have been instrumental in making this production a huge success. Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed,” Lunathi adds. “Moreover, I feel blessed and humbled to have been given this opportunity to showcase my talent on this platform. I give thanks to God for using me as a vessel to act and for bestowing this honor upon me.”

The Eastern-Cape born actress says that being nominated for this award was already an incredible achievement, but to have won it is a dream come true. “We did it! And I share this victory with all of you who have been with me on this journey. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the Royalty Soapie Awards for recognizing and celebrating excellence in the soap opera industry,” she says. “Thank you for creating a platform where actors, producers, directors, and all those involved in the production of soap operas can showcase their talents and creativity.
