It has been has been more than a year since child-star Sipho ‘Psyfo’ Ngwenya and wife Aamirah exchanged vows in front of family and friends in a private ceremony.
In a heartfelt tribute, Sipho remembers his late mom and famous opera singer, June “Diva” Kraus and is happy she got to see him walk down the aisle.
“A year ago today you took your last breath,” he wrote on social media.
“So grateful that you at least got to see me become a man. So grateful you were there for me to become a husband. So many things I am grateful for but most importantly, I am grateful for the love you gave me,” he added.
“Gone but not forgotten. I miss you and will always celebrate your life.”

After his mom passed, last year, Sipho thanked her for giving him a chance at life.
“Thank you for everything you ever did for me. You gave me a new destiny and a chance for a better life,” he said.
“As heartbreaking as it is to type this, I am also happy that you lived a full life and took your last breath doing what you love doing most, travelling to other countries. We will miss you and love you always.”

TV personality and rapper, Sipho “Psyfo” Ngwenya, was adopted by June when he was 11 years old after his mother, who was their domestic worker, died. Psyfo credits June with helping him follow his dreams and being a supportive parent.
