LEGENDARY TV PERSONALITY ZANDI NHLAPO JOINS IMBEWU AS NOMPI KHANYEZA
Imbewu viewers got treated to a sneak preview of Zandi Nhlapho in last night’s episode. Zandi Nhlapo will be returning to the TV screen to play the role of Nompi Khanyeza. She marks her full debut on the show on the 18th of October 2021.

Zandi will portray the role of Nompi, who is Fikile’s mother. She shows up again in her daughter’s life to reveal an uncomfortable truth that will leave the world of Imbewu rocking. Her relationship with her now-adult daughter has been strained due to her strict parenting style. Nompi’s school of thought is that a child is always wrong and the mother always knows best.
Nompi’s return brings chaos and assertiveness, and her stylish, clean and dramatic dress code will be sure to add some flair.

Zandi had the following to say about her character: “Nompi and Zandi are opposites of one another from a parenting perspective. Nompi is hard-hearted, bordering on mean and has a rather ‘boxed’ way of doing things, maybe because she’s had to live with this damning truth buried deep inside of her for so long. . I am looking forward to getting deeper into Nompi. I must say the emotional scenes were hard and emotionally taxing for me, but I’m appreciative that playing the character makes me revisit how I am parenting my girls every day.”
