Never afraid to shy away from controversy, Nota claimed to have walked up to Stogie T and pinned him to the ground after Stogie T attempted to attack him.
“ He didn’t even scratch me. He tried to swipe at me,” Nota says.
” He’s so slow that I could duck, move and grab his hand and make sure his fist hit the ground before he kissed the ground. N%gga bounced on his own belly. I had to ride the bounce while holding him onto the floor, pinning him down to the floor. I had my hands around his neck. I took him down and kept him down. I heard he punched a woman two weeks ago while looking for me. Kiss your TV career goodbye. He kissed the tiles face first. I was acting in self-defence. He tried to attack me.”

“Everybody saw him torn up. He can come again I’d do that to him again. I didn’t hit him. I just pushed him to the ground to make him injure himself with his own weight. Then I had to be carried out by three bouncers. They wanted to restrain me so I don’t attack this guy. He attacked me and he missed. People only started recording when the bouncers were letting me out. I hope you learnt your lesson, you embarrassed yourself. You ended up having to stay at the party with torn clothes.”

Stogie has since released a statement on social media calling Nota a clout chasing clown.
“As an artist, I support free speech and the right of anyone to express their feelings on various public platforms,” Stogie writes.
“I have come to accept that people will either love or reject what you produce. Nota Baloyi has made a name for himself by slandering various creatives in the arts and culture space, with particular vitriol reserved for me. He has lied about encounters, charged me with destroying culture, one time suggesting my mother was a corrupt public servant who cheated the state to prop up mu European tours with Tumi and The Volume and most recently suggesting I am a woman beater.”
In the statement, Tumi tells his version of what happened on the night of the fight.
“I was minding my own business when Nota encroached my section. I interpreted this as a provocation and gestured for him to leave and an unfortunate fracas ensued, I regret that it had to get to all that and would like to extend my deepest apologies to my wife, my family, my church, and the hip hop community.”
Tumi says, “I reserves the right to defend myself against clout chasing clown trying to violate my and my name.”
