Miss South Africa Shudufadzo Musida, 24 has vowed to make it her priority to de-stigmatise mental health.
Recently , she launched a mental health initiative titled Mindful Mondays.
The Limpopo born beauty queen took to social media to inform South Africa of her plans.
“As I mentioned on the final night of Miss SA that I would like to start a mindful movement. One that aims to inform how we as a society view mental health and de-stigmatising it,” she wrote.

Shudufadzo went on to says how excited she is about the new initiative. “I’m so excited and proud to announce #MindfulMondays a series of conversations I will be having with experts on mental health and how to prioritise not only your own well-being but also those around us! there is a profound need for us to speak on how mental health should be de-stigmatised and the more we talk about it the more we’ll learn and understand the complexities of this issue.”
Shudufadzo hopes people will follow along on the journey towards becoming the best version of ourselves selves by being equipped with the necessary information and tools to win the battle. “It’s time to tackle the powerhouse, the mind,” she says.
