Artists expresses his childhood and longing for comfort in his latest body of work.
Emerging artist Lindani Nyandeni’s work is a visual exploration of his childhood experiences.
Born in Umlazi in KwaZulu Natal, Lindani (28) lost his mother at the tender age of six years.

He received a lot of emotional support from his grandmother and relatives, but there was always something missing and he yearned for his mother.
This his latest exhibition, Lindani showcases his version of “how life would’ve been like if I grew up around my mother’s warmth and teachings.”
“My work is a visual narrative of my unlimited thoughts, feelings and the void she left in my life,” he tells Buzz Life News.
“Through my work I feel closer to her. I get to celebrate, appreciate and seek comfort when the world seems cold,” he adds.
