Actress and businesswoman Lerato Zah Moloi recently announced on social media that she tested positive for COVID_19.
Former Muvhango actress took to Instagram to share her tough journey to recovery.
“I tested positive for COVID-19 a couple of days ago,” she announced while in her bedroom.
“COVID-19 is real. It’s an invisible monster. It is one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through in my life. I have gone through everything from chest pains, breathlessness, excruciating headaches, diarrhea, nausea, dizzy spells, loss of appetite, loss of taste, loss of smell. I have gone through it all,” she said.
She has completed her 14 days of isolation but still showing symptoms.
“I’ve completed my 14 days of isolation. I’m still experiencing some symptoms; I’ve still got excruciating headaches, diarrhea. My taste is back, the dizziness. When you have COVID, you can’t take things that have Ibuprofen, which is in most pain killers. You can take a Panado of Grandpa or Adco Dol. Something like Panado is like swallowing air. But you can’t take too much Grandpa because it’s a blood thinner. My chest is horrible. I’ve been going through this pain for a while.”

But Lerato is not giving up the fight.
“When you go through this thing, you have to have mental strength. You have to be strong mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. I can tell you, it’s one of the hardest things you have to go through. You wonder, am dying, am I gonna die, am I gonna get through this. I have been going through severe anxiety attacks, hectic stuff. I m gonna talk more about this. I’m gonna share my story,” she said.
Lerato urged people to take the virus seriously and protect themselves from getting infected.
“Stay home, put on your mask, sanitize, it’s real. Save other people’s lives. Stay home if you’re not an essential worker.”
